On Dec. 9 SmartAsset released its 2020 list of the top cities for beer drinkers. A rising FinTech company located in New York, SmartAsset usually focuses on financial modeling and advising investors. Nevertheless, every year since 2014 the company has crunched the numbers and released a list of the top 50 cities for beer drinkers.

This process saw 384 cities ranked across five major metrics. The first was the total number of breweries, followed by breweries per 100,000 people, the average number of beers per brewery, bars per 100,000 people, and the average price of a pint.

This information gave way to some cold, hard facts. While editorial spreads have named big cities the best cities for drinking in the past, every top 10 winner on SmartAsset’s list is mid-sized. Cincinnati claimed the top spot for the second year in a row with its breweries offering on average 112 beers each.

Asheville, N.C. claimed second place with 26 breweries, and St.Louis secured third place with its city’s $4 pints. While the full list rolls down to Dayton, Ohio in the fiftieth spot, you can check out the top ten best cities for beer drinkers below.
