Travel accommodations for wine, beer, and spirits lovers are becoming more impressive by the day. There’s the DogHouse hotel at BrewDog Columbus, a brewery hotel where you can watch beer being made as you pour yourself a pint from your in-room tap. There’s that VRBO listing where you can stay in a wine barrel rental. Now, there’s Matices Hotel de Barricas, a hotel located in the agave fields of Casa Cofradia in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico, where guests can elect to stay overnight in giant wooden barrels akin to those used to age tequila.

It’s like a bungalow, but barrel-shaped: at this tequila traveler’s paradise, staying in the “aged king” suite gives you views of agave rows outside, with luxurious amenities like a rain shower and king bed inside, Supercall reports.

This isn’t just for show, either—those agave rows are actually part of a working farm, making Matices Hotel de Barricas the only hotel located on a tequila farm and distillery, according to Supercall.

We’re trying not to get too excited—the rooms cost upwards of $3,000 per night, depending on your choice of barrel size—but you’re paying for a one-of-a-kind experience, no salt and lime necessary.
