If you’re an adult over the age of 12, a daily serving of caffeine is more likely than not an essential part of your day. Whether it’s a cup in the morning or one in the afternoon, coffee-based drinks have become staples in our diets, as well as our daily motivation to do basically anything that doesn’t involve sitting on the couch.
Curious which Starbucks drinks will give you the most (caffeine-induced) bang for your buck? Thanks to a recent Foodbeast article, you no longer have to wonder. Check out these seven caffeine-ridden beverages for those mornings where you just don’t think you’ll make it– AKA, Every. Single. Monday.
Blonde Roast
We were shocked too– out of everything on the list, a simple Venti Blonde Roast provides the biggest caffeine boost. At 475 milligrams of caffeine, this has 100 grams more of caffeine than other drink combinations on the list. Pike Roast, on the other hand, will still provide you with 410 milligrams of caffeine. Moral of the story, coffee is king (as if you didn’t already know that.)
Venti Double Shot on Ice
With 375 milligrams of precious caffeine, this is our warm-weather go to, when a cup of Blonde Roast makes us actually feel our insides are roasting. Insider tip: Jumping from grande to venti turns this two shot drink into a whopping five. We’ll take it.
Nitro Cold Brew
This option has some serious stipulations; a) it isn’t available everywhere yet and b) the largest size offered is a grande, not venti, thanks to the 345 milligrams of caffeine packed into said package. Basically, Starbucks doesn’t think we can handle our caffeine; we think they’re very, very wrong.
