Nick Offerman, the actor known for playing Ron Swanson on the hit show Parks and Recreation, has once again teamed up with Lagavulin to create a premium, limited-edition Scotch whisky. The newly offered Lagavulin Offerman Edition: Guinness Cask Finish hits stores ahead of World Whisky Day and just in time for Father’s Day celebrations.
This venture expands on the release of Lagavulin Offerman Aged 11 Years back in 2019. This time around, the release features 11-year-old single-malt that’s finished for four months in Guinness Beer casks from the Open Gate Brewery in Maryland. The process adds notes of “roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and caramel,” according to an official statement from Lagavulin.
“The opportunity to collaborate on this truly sublime, smoky giggle-juice renews my gratitude for the simple things in life, like a father’s love, and the good manners he taught me,” Offerman noted in the press release.
Offerman and his father, Ric, have appeared in a series of hilarious videos celebrating their spirit of family and shared love for fine whisky. The most recent sketch has a comedic interpretation of how the newly derived creation evolved.
#ad My Dad & I love to work together & we were lucky enough to collaborate on this very good new adult beverage, melodiously named @LagavulinWhisky Offerman Edition: @GuinnessUS Cask Finish. The gang wants to call the new flavor effect "sweet peat”, and I said ok, so… pic.twitter.com/qSWq8QAsT9

Priced at just under $80, a bottle of this fine single malt is the perfect father’s day gift, but with production limited, some dads are going to miss out this year.
