Combining wine-fueled train travel, and a murder mystery dinner, comes the latest offering from the Napa Valley Wine Train. Needless to say, we’re excited.
Starting in April, and running through November, the murder mystery train departs the station for a night of wine, fine dining, prohibition-era clothing, and a three-hour window for passengers — or investigators — to solve a murder before the guilty party escapes.
According to the Wine Train’s website, passengers can expect to find the vintage train transformed into a “stylish speakeasy,” with the main event revolving around “jealous, jilted lovers, a rival Mafioso, and a pair of undercover feds.”
When not trying to solve the crime, guests will enjoy a three-course meal with paired wines from local wineries. Tickets cost $216, with the suggested wines offered for an additional charge.
The murder mystery train will depart just once a month, which means you have exactly eight chances to don that pinstripe suit, or pull out that feather boa. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
