On Wednesday, star forward for the U.S. women’s soccer team Megan Rapinoe celebrated her team’s World Cup victory in the best possible way.
During the ticker tape parade in New York City, Rapinoe held the World Cup in one hand and a bottle of La Grande Dame Veuve Clicquot in the other. As seen on fellow soccer player Ashlyn Harris’s Instagram story, Rapinoe gloriously holds the bottle of Champagne aloft, while resting the trophy on her leg.
“I deserve this,” she shouts.
“What do you deserve?” Harris says from behind the camera.
“I deserve this, everything,” Rapinoe responds.

The specific bottle of Veuve Clicquot she’s celebrating with was made in honor of Madame Clicquot, the French widow who took over her husband’s wine business after his death in 1805. Madame Clicquot built the company into the well-known Champagne house it is today.
Rapinoe celebrating with La Grande Dame is also pretty iconic.
