K-cups for weed are taking wake and bake to the next level. The California-based Brewbudz makes Keurig-compatible coffee, tea, and cocoa pods mixed with cannabis flower.

Each pod has 10 milligrams of THC (the active ingredient in marijuana) for recreational users, and 25 to 50 milligrams of CBD (a pain-relieving compound that’s not psychoactive) for medical users, according to WestWord. If you live in a state that allows marijuana, Brewbudz wants to bring its product to you. The newest state it’s coming to is Nevada.

The pods are 100 percent compostable with a soft mesh bottom and a top made from the outside skin of coffee beans.

“Our vision was to create a revolutionary product that would deliver a medical solution to patients in a beverage that was consumed and enjoyed as part of our daily life,” Brewbudz writes on its website. “The merging of cannabis and coffee delivered in a sustainable and environmentally conscious way invests us in the responsibility of caring for both our customers and the earth.”

The pods are flower based instead of oil based.

“Through this process US Coffee can cost effectively extract THC, CBD and other plant compounds creating a cannabis or hemp enriched beverage,” Brewbudz writes. “As an emulsified water based beverage Brewbudz will deliver consumers a high quality experience that is not “Oil” based.”

It’s time to start your mornings off right.
