VinePair is pleased to announce the hiring of Joanna Sciarrino as the publication’s new Executive Editor. Joanna joins VinePair from Food52, where she held the same position. Prior to her work at Food52, Joanna was the Managing Editor of Lucky Peach, and got her start in Food and Drink media as an Assistant Editor at Bon Appétit. In this role, Joanna will lead the editorial team and content direction of the publication in collaboration with publication co-founders Adam Teeter and Josh Malin.
“We are thrilled to have someone of Joanna’s caliber, background, and experience joining VinePair,” says Teeter, “and we are extremely excited for the vision, writers, and work she will bring to VinePair.”
In addition to Joanna, award-winning writers Aaron Goldfarb and Dave Infante are joining the masthead as Writers-at-Large. In their new roles on the editorial team, Aaron and Dave will both contribute regularly to the publication under their own bylines, along with bringing new voices and perspectives to the site.
“VinePair readers are already likely familiar with Aaron’s work as a regular contributor, but I am really excited to have him more formally involved in our editorial process, bringing his insight and ideas to our team,” says Malin. “Additionally, we’re overjoyed to have Dave joining us in the same capacity. We’ve admired his work for years and are really looking forward to having him as part of the team. Be on the lookout for some cool projects that may emerge from the two of them in the future.”
