The first of Game of Thrones’ final six episodes will air on April 14, 2019. Whether you’ve closely followed winter’s slow march (it’s finally here, everyone!), or you can’t wait to see the back of the show, Season 8 should have something for everyone.

What better way could there be to toast the beginning of the end, than with an ice-cold official Game of Thrones beer?

For the Throne” is the latest Westeros-themed offering from Brewery Ommegang. The Strong Golden Ale, which is co-fermented with pinot grigio and viognier grape juices, promises to be just as interesting as the season finale itself.

Ommegang describes the beer as “complex and compelling, yet delicate and refined,” and says it’s “an ale fit for royalty.”

According to the brewer, the golden-copper-colored ale, which is bottle-conditioned with Champagne yeast, smells like “honeysuckle and toasted grain,” and has “notes of pear and apricot.” On the palate, “the finish is clean and dry, with vibrant effervescence.”

The 9.5-percent ABV brew will be available at Ommegang’s Cooperstown, N.Y. taproom starting March 8, Thrillist says, and will then hit stores in early April — just in time for the premiere of the final season.

“Winter is here, the wall has fallen, and the final battle for Westeros is underway,” Doug Campbell, Brewery Ommegang president, says. “With this offering, we have bent the traditional boundaries of beer-making, co-fermenting traditional ingredients with juices normally destined for fine wines, going to great lengths to create a truly unique, special beer.”
