From cocktails like the Espresso Martini to coffee-infused liqueurs, spirits, and beers, there are plenty of ways to get your coffee-flavored fix in alcohol form. Joining the party is Cafe Agave, with its new range of Spiked Cold Brew.

Canned, alcoholic cold brew is nothing new, but Cafe Agave is doubling down on the category by releasing an extra-boozy lineup. At 12.5 percent ABV, Café Agave’s range is more than double the strength of existing alcoholic cold brews like Bad Larry’s, and clocks in at the same strength as a glass of wine.

The range of four flavors includes Caffe Mocha, Vanilla Cinnamon, Salted Caramel, and an Espresso shot. In the official press release, Cafe Agave says that the coffee base for each is provided by 100 percent dark roast arabica coffee. The alcoholic kick, meanwhile, comes from a fermented agave and wine base. Each 6-ounce serving is the caffeine equivalent to half a cup of coffee (38mg), Cafe Agave says.

While the strength of Cafe Agave’s cocktails mean they’re not ideal for most morning routines, the San Diego-based company says the range is just as suited to night time drinking, as it is to starting the weekend with an extra-strong kick.

“From pool parties to rooftop lounges, concert venues to music festivals, casinos to hotel minibars, the convenience of our super-premium real coffee cocktails will give entertainment seekers more variety over the usual beer and wine choices,” Cafe Agave says.

These sound tasty, but we predict Red Bull and vodka will still prevail.
