The season of giving might be behind us but that hasn’t stopped one Utah brewery from making a noble donation to a local elementary school.
On Thursday, Salt Lake City’s Toasted Barrel Brewery donated $1,300 to the nearby Washington Elementary School to pay off student lunch debt, KUTV reports.
Throughout December, Toasted Barrel asked patrons at its tasting room to donate to the cause.
On Thursday, Washington Elementary School posted a Facebook message thanking Toasted Barrel and the local community for their support, writing, “We are very grateful for the community support from Sage and Andrea of Toasted Barrel! During the month of December the Toasted Barrel asked patrons to donate to help pay off student lunch debt at Washington. They were able to raise $1,300! Thank you!”
Toasted Barrel also shared a Facebook post on Thursday, thanking its patrons for donations. “Thanks for supporting our local community!! We hope to continue to be a business that gives back and makes this community awesome. Thanks so much for your donations,” the post read.
