Good news for booze travelers: American Airlines announced the launch of a new shuttle between Chicago and New York, and the flights will feature free beer and wine.
The new shuttle service between Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and New York LaGuardia (LGA) will begin April 4, 2018 and will also offer other benefits such as dedicated gates and the choice of 15 flights per weekday. The beer and wine will be complimentary in the main cabin, and is meant to up the comfort of commuters and frequent flyers in an otherwise uneventful flight between these two cities (which, by the way, have great drinking scenes of their own).
“When you fly frequently for work, anything that can make the regular commute more comfortable is important,” Alison Taylor, senior vice president, global sales and distribution, American Airlines, says in a press release. “That’s why we’re pleased to offer valuable time-saving opportunities with our Shuttle, including a convenient and consistent schedule and extended check-in times for you and your bag.”
Other American Shuttle services include between New York LGA and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), New York LGA and Washington, D.C. Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), and DCA and BOS.
Also worth noting is that Delta Shuttle offers complimentary beer, wine and spirits, along with Starbucks coffee, tea and Coca-Cola products, on its shuttle flights. These include 16 flights between BOS and LGA; 14 flights between ORD and LGA; and 12 flights between DCA and LGA.
