An annual survey conducted by MetrixLab, a global digital research agency, reveals the most-recommended major spirits brands in the U.S. The Bartender Influencer Study surveyed 10,000 U.S. bartenders between April and December 2018. The final ranking lists spirits brands by category.
Patrón took the top spot for overall spirit for the second year in a row, also claiming the top spot for tequila.
Two other brands appear twice: Bacardi, the most-recommended rum and the most-recommended flavored spirits brand; and Jack Daniel’s, which not only won for whiskey, but beat out Fireball in the “shot/shooter” category. Fireball previously claimed that spot in 2015, 2016, and 2017, and was the most-recommended overall spirit in 2016.
