It’s hard to beat summer in New York City. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better city to spend time in, what with the warm weather, the one-of-a-kind events, and all of the wonderful things to eat and drink. It doesn’t matter if you’re visiting for the first time, are a regular tourist, or live in the city: Here are the drink events you’ll want to make time for in the spring and summer of 2017.

April 29-30: New York City’s Bacon and Beer Classic. Head to the home of the Mets for all-you-can-eat bacon and all-you- can-drink craft beer samples from more than 50 regional breweries. Price: $69-$139. Location: Citi Field, 123-01 Roosevelt Avenue.

April 29: Tap That NYC: LIC and Astoria Craft Beer & Brewery Crawl. Queens has some killer breweries, and you can have a chance to visit five of the best, including LIC, Singlecut, and Big Alice. Price: $40. Location: Start at Rockaway Brewing, 4601 5th Street.

May 3: Three-Course Tasting With Mezcal. Reserve a seat at the table to get acquainted with mezcal, tequila’s smokey cousin, in the best way possible: with food. Price: $75. Location: 2015 Hudson Street, 2nd floor.

May 6: Queens Beer Week 2017 Kick-Off Party. Enjoy unlimited samples from nine breweries participating in Queens Beer Week, including Big Alice, Bridge & Tunnel, Decendant Cider, Finback, ICONYC, LIC, Rockaway, SingleCut, and Transmitter. Price: $40. Location: LIC Landing, 52-10 Center Boulevard.

May 6: Bronx Brewery Opening Day 2017. Celebrate outdoor beer drinking season at Bronx Brewery with beer, music, and food. There’s not a better way to bring in summer than day drinking Slow Your Roll session IPA in one of the best beer gardens in the South Bronx. Price: $10-$20. May 9: Taste of Greece. Greek wine, food, and culture is taking over City Winery on the night of May 9. Who knows? You may just find your next favorite wine. Price: $75-$125. Location: City Winery, 155 Varick Street.

May 12: Five Boro Craft Beer Fest. Head to Brooklyn for unlimited tastings from more than 40 breweries and food from local events. Price: $70-$85. Location: The Well, 272 Meserole Street.

May 13: Brooklyn Crush Wine & Artisanal Food Festival. Sample more than 175 wines while enjoying some of Brooklyn’s best food. This is one wine event you don’t want to miss. Price: $59-$120. Location: Industry City, 233 37th Street.

May 13: Yoga Wine Party: An Afternoon of Vino and Vinyasa. Relax and let the good vibes flow. Learn how to test red and white wines after a blissful yoga session. Price: $40. Location: Yo Yoga, 344 East 59th Street.

May 19: Prohibition-Style Cocktail Party. Drink original cocktails — speakeasy style — made by top mixologists. Price: $49. Location Vanity 59, 59 West 21st Street.

May 20: Brew You Yoga. Beer yoga is a thing, and it’s very much a great pairing. Partake in a Vinyasa flow class and then taste through four local Bronx beers. Price: $25. Location: Bronx Brewery, 856 E 136th St.

May 23: Rosé All Day at Petaluma. The classic Italian restaurant in the Upper East Side is kicking off summer with a tasting of six rosés from around the world. Price: $75. Location: Petaluma, 1356 1st Ave.

May 24: Taste NY Experience at Pier A Harbor House. Try local wine, beer, spirits, and food from the best producers New York state has to offer without ever leaving the City.

June

June 3: Savoring the Bronx: Multi-Brewery Tour. There are three breweries in the Bronx — Bronx Brewery, Gun Hill Brewing Co., and Chelsea Craft Brewing Company — and you can get a taste of the best from each one on this all-day, three-brewery tour. Price: $49. Location: Ricoh Corporation, 144 East 44th Street.

June 10: NYC Bourbon Bash. A summer day filled with bourbon and more bourbon. Get a taste of eight premium bourbons at eight downtown bars. Price $65. Location: Downtown New York City.

June 10: Tap That NYC: Craft Beer Cruise. New York has one craft beer cruise, and it’s not one you want to miss. Sip from an unlimited supply of 10 New York craft breweries while on a three-hour cruise. Price: $60-$75. Location: Departs from Pier 36, 299 South Street.

June 10: Pour the Core Cider Tasting. Drink your way through more than 75 styles of cider — both local and internationally produced. Price: $45-$65. Location: Brooklyn Expo Center, 72 Noble Street.

June 22: Summer Winestock. Take a trip on the Staten Island Ferry to make it to Summer Winestock’s unlimited wine tasting, cheese and food paring, and live music. Price: $59. Location: 1150 Clove Road, Staten Island.

July

July 19: Rosé on the water. 90+ Cellars is putting everything pink — and lots, lots, and lots of rosé — onto a boat for a summer evening of on-the-water drinking. Price: $70. Location: Boat leaves from Pier 83 on West 42nd Street.

All Summer Long

Dead Distillers Trolley Tour. On June 3 and July 15, you can take a trolley tour of Greenwood cemetery and see all of the people related to whiskey who have been laid to rest there. Then head to Kings County Distillery in Brooklyn for a taste of living local whiskey. Price: $40.

Governors Island Beer Garden. Alphabet City Beer Co., and Edi and the Wolf are teaming up for a summer-long pop-up featuring sausages, charcuterie, salads, and beer — including one brewed specifically for Governors Island.
