The pride of Ireland, Guinness is beloved in the 150 countries in which it is sold around the globe. The dry Irish stout created by legendary brewmaster Arthur Guinness was launched in 1759, and has upheld its reputation for over two centuries.
In the 260-plus years since its inception, Guinness has certainly evolved as a brand. Its logo, however, has stood the test of time. Bottles of Guinness have donned the brand’s signature harp since 1862, and though the brand has simplified its logo since then, the trademark symbol is unlikely to go anywhere any time soon. (In fact, the Guinness harp predates the Irish government itself.)
