5 Devilish DIY Halloween Wine Bottle Crafts

Ever find yourself standing in your kitchen realizing that you have a collection of empty wine bottles lining your counter? Many of us collect corks and save them for future projects, though why not do the same with bottles? With Halloween just around the corner, there’s no better opportunity to get into the spooky spirit than by taking some of those empties and creating festive decorations to spruce up your living area. Hey, if they’re going to crowd your counter space anyways, they may as well be decorated!

We sent out bottles of Casillero del Diablo’s Devilish Release Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc to VinePair readers to create spooky bottle crafts. We’ve rounded up five of the best Halloween bottles, which you can use to spice up your home and get you in the holiday spirit. No empties? No problem! Gathering around with friends to glug some wine and make some crafts is a perfect fall weeknight activity.

SPARKLY HARVEST

What you’ll need:
Synthetic decorative flowers/leaves (found at most craft stores), one long, wide sparkly ribbon to wrap around the outside of the bottle, one thin decorative ribbon to accentuate the neck of the bottle and use as trim at the bottom

Directions:
Wrap the wide ribbon all around the bottle, covering the glass from the bottom to just below the neck. Fold the ribbon inside itself at the top so it doesn’t unravel. Using fabric glue, glue the smaller, thin ribbon around the bottom of the bottle and use the remaining thin ribbon to tie into a bow around the neck. Put the decorative flowers and leaves inside the bottle like a bouquet of flowers, and voila!
