The Tyrconnell 10 Year Port Cask Finish Irish Whiskey
Review
One of three 10-year-old, cask-finished releases offered by The Tyrconnell, this single malt spends the final 6 to 8 months of its maturation period in port pipes. The ruby hue of those casks' former contents is easily visible in its attractive reflections. The profile is energetic and spicy, with port once again coming to the fore on the finish, taming some of the bite of the mid-palate. This is a fruity, complex cask-finished release.
