The Federalist Mendocino County Chardonnay 2017 Review

The honesty is right there on the label, “our creamy Chardonnay is rich and full-bodied with a hint of toasted oak,” which is so refreshing. They are not trying to hide the heaviness of this wine, which seems to be a common practice,  but celebrate it. The label is clearly stating that if you like high alcohol wine with notes of tropical fruits like mango along with aromas of lemon/lime and a rich acacia finished with sweet wood from oak under a layer of ethanol, this is your wine. The aromas are upfront, the alcohol is prominent and they want you to know it. This is a great bottle for your next 4th of July cookout or beach trip.
