Tasca d’Almerita "Antisa" Sicilia DOC Catarratto 2017 Review
Just as the French took Melon De Bourgogne and created something great out of it in the guise of Muscadet, so to is Sicily doing the same with Catarratto. Once known for blending, this grape has finally found its place on you palate. Tenute Regaleali lets this wine sit on the lees for 4 months in stainless steel tanks to bring depth and balance to the wine. The result is a great, simple summer sipper with mineral-driven notes of candied grapefruit and citrus. If it is a day for sipping seaside, this is your wine.
