Rusack Vineyards Mt. Carmel Vineyard Chardonnay, Sta Rita Hills 2017 Review
Well structured, and ready to age, this is one of our more powerful examples of chard from the states. But as intense as this wine is, with very prominent toasted oak and caramel notes, it is impeccably balanced. When Chardonnay is over-done these aromas really intrude on the wine experience, but here everything is in absolute harmony. All the aromas have a voice as the vibrant acidity careens through with a perceived lift on the palate. Share this wine at sunset with good friends and a legit formaggi for a dope wine and cheese night.
