Tenuta delle Terre Nere Etna Bianco 2016 Review
This is an intense but elegant Sicilian white wine from the slopes of Mount Etna. It's a blend of 60% Carricante, 25% Catarratto, 10% Grecanico, 5% Minnella, all indigenous Sicilian grape varietals. It's a pale, slightly golden yellow color, with robust aromas that include orange blossoms, ripe lemons, olive oil, and a hint of fennel. The wine is medium-bodied, with a fresh tartness, and a slightly salty character. It's very much a food wine, and will pair well with white-meat fish, and vegetable-forward pasta dishes. This is a crisp and fresh white, but it has a robust quality that is often more associated with reds. If you're a fan of Italian wines, this is a must-try.
