Rhous Winery 'Skipper' Red 2013 Review

Complex and interesting, if not a markedly clean wine, this local blend from Crete is immediately intriguing, with deep aromas of dirt-covered black cherries, violets, and tobacco, with dark rusticity. Leading off with mixed berries on the palate, it’s surprisingly full-bodied, with sweet spice and saltiness. While it’s not a wine for everyone, it’s certainly something different.
