There’s no question that this wine is concentrated, with dark blackberry and bitter chocolate notes, but it remains lifted on both the nose and palate. Violet and bitter herbal accents, moderate tannin, and clean acidity brighten things up, making for a rich, seductive, but not cloying wine. Fuller-bodied and exceptionally smooth.
