Highland Brewing Stargazer White
Review
Brushed gold in color with a fluffy white head, Highland pulls off a classic white with Stargazer. Upon initial assessment of the nose, the aroma says simply, "beer." However, lend this beer some time, and its aroma unfolds: Belgian yeast; added spice notes of coriander; and finally, a hint of citrus, thanks to addition of grapefruit peel. Fruit, spice, and herb combine on the palate, with something new emerging with each sip. A touch of wheat sweetness is cut by fragrant citrus pith, balancing this brew in both flavor and concept: It is at once simple and complex; thought-provoking and beach bag-friendly. Crisp and clean with a tingling finish, Stargazer invigorates without overwhelming. In this beer, we appreciate ease and effort.
