Made with 100 percent Criollo agave, this mezcal delivers a lovely complexity and balance that is not reflected in the price. On the nose, you get a medley of red berries, citrus, and crayon wax notes. The palate is balanced with a hint of banana skin and a smokiness that ties everything together. The proof is on the high end for mezcals but you wouldn’t know it, since there is no lingering burn or heat. This a well-balanced bottle and solid pick for sipping.
