Long Meadow Ranch Perrygulch Pinot Noir 2019 Review

When you have a high amount of clay in the soil, grapes tend to give deeper, more concentrated characteristics. Long Meadow Ranch’s Perrygulch is their sloping vineyard with the highest concentration of clay of most of their other plots, along with some sand, and slit for drainage. This wine is a direct expression of the land in which these vines are thriving. This beautiful wine has a leather nose with earthy cherries and a whisper of cinnamon. The palate is rich around the edges and soft to its core. The mouthfeel is at once fleshy while simultaneously having just the right grip and acidity, bringing harmony to the experience.
