Les Dauphins Côtes du Rhône Reserve Rouge 2014 Review

An entry-level Côtes du Rhône from the largest producer in the Rhône Valley, this wine offers friendly, generic fruit if not layered complexity. It’s medium-bodied, with mellow, muddled black and blue fruit, along with some warm, wet earth as well. There are better reds for this price, but as this wine is fairly ubiquitous, it’s not a bad option on a budget.
