High N' Wicked ‘The Wild Rover’ Single Malt Irish Whiskey
Review
Wyoming-based High N’ Wicked releases limited-edition whiskeys in partnership with the California importer Altamar Brands. The second release from the label, this triple-distilled cask-strength single malt was produced at Ireland’s Royal Oak distillery. The spirit aged in bourbon barrels then former Pedro Ximénez casks and is bottled at a heady 58.7 percent ABV. That high alcohol content does a magnificent job of magnifying the whiskey's sweet and floral complex profile. Heather, lavender, and vanilla notes begin the show before countless others reveal themselves with time in glass. This is a show-stopper.
