Hampden Estate HLCF Classic Review
Hampden Estate is, without a doubt, one of Jamaica's most renowned rum producers. Dubbed HCLF for "Hampden Light Continental Flavoured," this flagship expression is fermented with ambient yeasts for extended periods, distilled in only pot stills, and aged for 4 years in tropical climates. The result? Funky aromas with hints of papaya, myriad tropical fruits, and just a touch of molasses. The palate features a quintessentially Jamaican profile, culminating in a fine rum that sips well above its modest age statement.
