Domaine des Bernardins Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise 2021 Review

Beaumes de Venise is known for its sweet wines — this area in the Southern Rhône was once run by popes from Rome and wines of this style were all the rage. Domaine des Bernardins has been making wines here since the 19th century and is carrying on the tradition and legacy of this era with their wonderful Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise. Waxy floral notes and a kiss of honeysuckle welcome this nose followed by a balanced palate with excellent natural acidity to liven things up. Paired with some mild artisan cheese and this wine is a knockout.
