Diplomatico Single Vintage 2005 Review
This single-vintage Venezuelan rum ages for 12 years in bourbon and whisky casks, then is finished period in Oloroso barrels before release. Its aromas are a dead ringer for banana and chocolate chip muffins —much like the brand’s flagship line — while its aging period in the differing oak vessels has lent spice, dried fruit, and nutty complexity. Buy a bottle to savor on special occasions.
