Conde de los Andes Tempranillo 2016 Review
In the heart of Rioja Alta stands Conde de los Andes — a property with over a kilometer of underground cellars that hold centuries of wine history. Over time, the winery has been modernized while staying true to the history of the land. This 100 percent Tempranillo is made from 50-year-old vines and has a great balance between soft, deep fruit and flavors from oak aging like vanilla. The palate brings notes of stewed plums and blackberries with hints of leather and tobacco. It has prominent tannins, which gives the palate some grip while still maintaining freshness.
