Clos Du Val Estate Pinot Noir 2016 Review
The nose on this quintessential Napa Pinot is loaded with blueberry and lavender presenting aromas that are extremely floral and expressive with lots of vanilla aromas present from the oak as well. It almost smells like blueberry ice cream. This is a very straightforward wine, the nose and palate almost match identically. I wouldn't call this a particularly interesting bottle of wine, but it's a solid bottle of wine and definitely a crowd pleaser. It's a great gift if you aren't sure what someone likes, because it's middle of the road enough to probably be pleasing to most people. I'd call it the perfect wine to bring to a dinner party where you don't know your hosts tastes. And the price will at least let them know you aren't a cheapskate.
