Champagne Christophe Baron Le Dessus du Bois Marie 2018 Review
Champagne's Marne Valley is traditionally heavy Pinot Meunier country. And here, Christophe Baron makes a case for single vineyard, single vintage expressions of this underappreciated grape. The theme for this wine is refreshing depth. Across the nose and palate, a saline quality lingers among citrus and slight marzipan aromas. The mouthfeel is almost supple, with the bubbles presenting more like fine mousse. This wine is only available in magnum format, so save it for a big get together!
