Bronx Brewery American Pale Ale
Review
Pouring an alarming auburn color with a tan head, this transparent pale ale is reminiscent of the English style: dark, bitter, and bold. The quickly fading head gives way to bold aromas of molasses, botanicals, black tea, and classic American hops, namely citrus- and pine-forward Cascade and Centennial. Bold but balanced, the heavy malt backbone is met with a hop-driven bitterness in this aperitif-akin ale. Drink one before dinner, or pair with a rich, savory cheese.
