Whether you’re fixing punch for a party or hosting an intimate dinner, this make-ahead Campari punch from Maggie Hoffman’s “Batch Cocktails” is the set-it-and-forget-it of drinks. Now all you have to do is finalize the guest list.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups chilled fino or manzanilla sherry
1 ½ cups Campari
1 (750 ml) bottle chilled dry sparkling wine
18 orange wheels
Directions
Up to 24 hours before serving, pour sherry and Campari into a 3-quart pitcher and stir to mix. Seal well with plastic wrap and refrigerate.
When you’re ready to serve, stir 1 cup ice and 6 orange wheels into the pitcher, and then carefully add chilled sparkling wine and stir again, gently. Pour into ice-filled wine or rocks glasses, and garnish each with an orange wheel.
