The Story Behind The Barrilito Old Fashioned

Upgrade your Old Fashioned with a little help from Ron del Barrilito Three Stars Rum. Its smoky notes of almonds, vanilla, raisins, and bananas marry well with chocolate and orange bitters. Strain into a smoked, ice-filled glass, then garnish with a cinnamon stick or expressed orange peel, and sit back, sip, and celebrate.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces Ron del Barrilito 3-Star
  • ½ ounce simple syrup
  • 3 dashes chocolate bitters
  • 3 dashes orange bitters
  • Garnish: cinnamon stick, orange peel

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients into a mixing glass filled with ice.
  2. Stir to combine and chill.
  3. Strain into a smoked ice-filled glass and garnish.
