The Story Behind The PATRÓN® Jalisco Lion

In the Jalisco Lion, bartender Haley Traub has expertly combined PATRÓN® Silver’s smooth mouthfeel and clean citrus flavors with apricot liqueur, creating a seasonal twist on the beloved Margarita. Traub also adds a small amount of cane syrup and lemon juice, which adds rich caramel notes and a hint of brightness to round out the recipe. Shaken with ice and strained into a double rocks glass with a large ice cube, the drink is topped with an orange half-moon and freshly grated cinnamon.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ ounces PATRÓN Silver
  • ½ ounce apricot liqueur
  • ¾ ounce fresh lemon juice
  • ½ ounce cane syrup
  • Garnish: orange wheel and grated cinnamon.

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake with ice to chill.
  2. Strain into a double rocks glass with a large ice cube.
  3. Garnish with an orange wheel and grated cinnamon.
