We know the holidays aren’t for everyone. This year, if you’re looking to escape the cold and the holiday cheer, even if it can only be via cocktail, then Natasha Velez’s Grinch on Vacation is the cocktail for you. With the juicy flavors of Japanese melon, honeydew, and white grapes, this bright green drink brings together Iichiko Saiten Shochu and Midori with a good dose of yuzu juice to keep things sprightly and a splash of sparkling cider for some added fizz.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ ounces Iichiko Saiten Shochu
  • ¾ ounce Midori
  • ¾ ounce yuzu juice
  • ¾ ounce simple syrup
  • Sparkling cider
  • Garnish: cinnamon-dusted scalloped pear slices and cranberries

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake.
  2. Pour over ice in a Collins glass and top with sparkling cider.
  3. Garnish with pear slices and cranberries and serve.
