This year marks the Napa Valley Wine Train’s 30th anniversary. To honor the momentous occasion, the wine country attraction is rolling the clocks back three decades, and hosting a one-off ‘80s-themed murder mystery ride.

“Party like it’s 1989 and join us for a fun-filled, totally tubular, super rad evening of intrigue and neon pants,” the Napa Valley Wine Train writes on its website.

The two-hour journey departs from the Downtown Napa train station at 7 p.m., on Sept. 26. The ride will feature a four-course gourmet meal and an ‘80s-themed evening of intrigue that’s being operated in partnership with The Murder Mystery Company.

Tickets for the ride start at $250 and can be purchased online. Guests are encouraged to dress to impress, with jean jackets, spandex leggings, and big hair all but a requirement for entry.

If neon colors and scrunchies no longer a feature in your wardrobe, the wine train is also hosting a (stationary) reception in Downtown Napa on Sept. 16. The celebration features a selection of hors d’oeuvres from executive chef Donald Young, live outdoor music, and a tour of the train’s newly renovated railcars. Price of entry is a $25 minimum donation, which will be given to the Children’s Museum of Napa Valley.
