Impulsive shoppers will have to watch out for more than just candy in the checkout lane because Trader Joe’s just announced a new line of ready to drink (RTD) cocktails.
According to two posts that published on its “Dig In” blog on Monday, the supermarket chain has launched two new RTD cocktails in 12 states. Shoppers can find these in the wine and liquor sections of participating Trader Joe’s, while supplies last.
The cocktails include an Old Fashioned and Whiskey Sour, both of which arrive at 35 percent ABV and will be sold in 750 milliliter bottles. Trader Joe’s website describes both as being made with bourbon by a “small, craft distiller.”
The announcement arrives after Trader Joe’s this year launched its hard seltzer brand, “Shell House.” According to Hard Seltzer News, the launch has been met with mixed reviews and the product has already been pulled from select Trader Joe’s locations.
Hopefully these RTD cocktails fare better, in a world quickly moving towards RTD everything.
