Food & Wine has released its annual Restaurants of the Year, a thought-provoking list of 10 of the country’s most exciting places to eat and drink. An undertaking helmed by Food & Wine restaurant editor, Jordana Rothman, the 2018 list recounts gustatory journeys across the nation that are as moving as they are drool-inducing.
This year’s picks cross cultures, backgrounds, and cuisines, with recognized restaurants and individuals spanning a Florida-born chef with Georgian roots serving Southern food in Seattle, to Texas-raised chefs of Japanese descent who describe their Austin izakaya as “John Wayne on acid.”
