Because calming giant gorillas, promoting a new UnderArmour collection and opening up about mental illness doesn’t keep him busy enough, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is launching a tequila brand.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Johnson recently filed the paperwork to secure the rights to the brand, which he will call “Mana.” The name refers to a supernatural force which Polynesian people believe runs through all humans, animals and even inanimate objects. The Rock, who grew up in Polynesian culture, said the concept speaks to him, and even memorialized it in the giant bull tattooed on his arm.

So it stands to reason that he would also name him newest venture after the spirit that drives him. What better project to attach it to than his favorite, well, spirit? The Rock has also sung tequila’s praises in the past, calling it his preferred cheat day drink.

Hardcore fans might remember his August 2017 Instagram post in which he teased the concept and revealed his shoulder tat, tagging it #TheMana and #NowLetsBreakOutTheTequila. It all comes together.

The People’s Champ joins a number of celebrities who have started their own tequila brands, including George Clooney and the Backstreet Boys. We’re excited for it to hit shelves, and watch The Rock’s Rampage — through our TV screens, closets, and now glasses — continue.
