Sheetz, following in the footsteps of competitors Wawa and Dunkin’, is releasing its own coffee-infused craft beer, Project Coffee Hopz IPA.
Sheetz joins its Mid-Atlantic coffee chain/convenience store competitors with the new coffee beer. In November 2018, Wawa and 2SP Brewing released Winter Reserve Coffee Stout, a beer made with Wawa’s new limited-edition Winter Blend.
Prior to that, Dunkin’ partnered with Boston-based Harpoon Brewing to release Dunkin’ Harpoon Coffee Porter.
And in April 2019, Dunkin’ and Harpoon released Harpoon Dunkin’ Summer Coffee Pale Ale, available through the end of summer.
Sheetz will sell Project Coffee Hopz IPA at 55 of its Pennsylvania locations starting May 16, 2019. A launch party at Sheetz in Bethen Park (4599 Library Rd.) will mark the official debut, followed by wider distribution starting May 21, 2019.
Project Coffee Hopz IPA will be sold in four-packs of 16-ounce cans for $7.99.
