Nordstrom has long been an outlet for shoppers looking for new clothes and shoes. Now the large department store is experimenting with a smaller location that offers something a little different: beer and wine instead of the typical Burberry and Johnston & Murphy. Fortune reports that the new location will be called Nordstrom Local and will open in Los Angeles, California October 3rd.

Barbershops, nail salons, and other venues have offered alcohol as a perk or for purchase as a means of attracting new clientele. Blind Barber, which has locations in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, offers a complimentary drink with every haircut. As department stores are experiencing declining sales as a result of the emergence of online shopping, they are beginning to follow suit by offering booze to draw in customers. “The effort is part of a trend by traditional department stores and malls as they cut costs, shutter stores, and try to stay relevant and competitive as their customers increasingly go online to buy things,” as the Detroit Free Press notes.

The new store will offer personal stylists and manicures, all with the luxury of a craft beer or glass of wine while you pamper yourself. Patrons can try on clothing and shoes, although the physical store will not have any actual inventory. Customers can order items online by 2 p.m., and pick them up at the Nordstrom Local. Furthermore, the location will have a staff of tailors to make alterations to purchases, according to Fortune. There’s nothing like making yourself beautiful with a nice buzz going.
