Who said teetotalers can’t revel in the glory of pink wine? Such was the question, perhaps, asked by Welch’s when the grape juice giant debuted its latest innovation: non-alcoholic sparkling “rosé.”

Welch’s is calling its new Sparkling Rosé a way to enjoy “rosé all day with no regrets,” to sip on pink bubbly like everyone else living the rosé lifestyle, without the consequences.

Sure, you won’t get drunk, or hungover from intoxication. But we’re not really sure “rosé with no regrets” checks out. Grape juice has a pretty extensive anecdotal history of being a quick and easy way to the bathroom, causing morning (or immediate) discomfort for plenty of people. We’re talking about diarrhea.

We’re not here to tell you what to do, but if Welch’s Sparkling Rosé sounds delicious to you, be careful; and pack the Pepto.
