Pumpkin spiced White Claw is not on its way (not yet, anyway) but Mark Anthony Brands, the producer of the nation’s most-popular hard seltzer, has just announced that three new flavors are set to hit the market in 2020.
Adding to the six-strong original lineup of pure, black cherry, mango, natural lime, raspberry, and ruby grapefruit will be tangerine, lemon, and watermelon, CNN reports.
White Claw made waves this summer after dominating Fourth of July seltzer sales and many declared 2019 to be the “Summer of White Claw.”
Speaking at The Table, a panel discussion series produced by CNN Business, White Claw’s senior vice president of marketing Sanjiv Gajiwala said the company is predicted to surpass $1.5 billion in sales this year alone. Gajiwala also predicted that the overall seltzer category will make between $2 billion and $2.5 billion, with White Claw responsible for 60 percent of that.
Referencing White Claw’s continued popularity, Gajiwala believes that the simplicity of the brand is what has drawn drinkers to its products. “A lot of the other seltzer brands have 12, 13, 14 flavors. We have six. It makes it a lot easier to choose,” he said.
Despite a product shortage in September, the addition of three new flavors suggests 2020 will be similarly awash with White Claw.
