Like the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree and the Bryant Park winter village, New York City’s annual Holiday Train Show is sure sign that Christmas is around the corner. This year, the enchanting model train show will get extra lit, with after-hours shows including a revolving selection of festive cocktails.

Now in its 27th year, the Holiday Train Show recreates some of the city’s iconic neighborhoods and landmarks at the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG). The replica buildings and structures are crafted using vines, twigs, bark, and seeds, with hundreds of feet of model train track winding through the landscape.

Tickets for Bar Car Nights, the special, after-hours show featuring seasonal bars and a night food market, are on sale now for adults 21 and over. The show will run until January 21, 2019.

The cocktail menu is set to change on a weekly basis. Drinks will include the Holiday Punch, a fruity, rum-based concoction; and the Christmas Spritz, a bubbly mixture of vodka, cranberry, citrus, and sparkling wine. Also on offer are a selection of spiked coffees and hot chocolates, as well as beer, wine, and spirits.

Whether you’re a model train enthusiast or simply looking to get into the Christmas spirit(s), Bar Car Nights promises to add some festive cheer with a cocktail in hand.
