Sanrio, the Tokyo-based kawaii lifestyle brand that brought the world Hello Kitty, has added another facet to the fictional character’s empire: the first-ever Hello Kitty Grand Café will debut in Irvine, Cal. on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018.

According to an announcement from Sanrio, the “highly anticipated” café will debut in the Irvine Spectrum Center near the Giant Wheel court. The menu will include a bevy of “sweet treats” like mini hot donuts and mini cake sets of “supercute” Sanrio characters, along with afternoon tea and—wait for it—cocktail service.

Let’s get to the drinks: Cocktails include such names as “You Had Me at Hello” (cachaca, aperol, lemon, sherry, and pineapple); and “Whisker Sour” (whiskey, china china, lemon, aquafaba); while wines include Hello Kitty Sparking Rosè, Hello Kitty Pinot Grigio, Hello Kitty Prosecco, and Piper Heidsieck Cuvee Brut.

The “cute-sophisticated” café will of course be decked out in all things Hello Kitty, and will feature a private reservations-only room called “The Bow Room” where guests can order afternoon tea by day and cocktail service by night.

Kanpai, Kitty.
