Start spelling hard seltzer with a capital “H.”
Less than a week since Natty Light and PBR announced 6- and 8-percent ABV forays into the category, Four Loko is teasing an even boozier release.
On Tuesday evening, the malt beverage brand tweeted a picture of a can of 14-percent ABV Sour Seltzer, with an accompanying caption declaring: “Hard Seltzers ran so we could fly.” The words “hardest seltzer in the universe” feature on the can, as does a cryptic tasting note claiming the drink contains “a hint of blue razz.”

No further details about the extra-hard seltzer have been released by Four Loko, nor does the product feature anywhere on its website. But that hasn’t dampened the spirits of Twitter users, who have had very strong reactions to the apparent announcement. At the time of publishing, Four Loko’s tweet has been shared more than 19,000 times and boasts more than 68,000 likes.
Honestly, we can’t decide what’s more Loko, the idea this might become a genuine product or the reaction from those who apparently can’t wait to try it.
